Day Job

Day Job is a short documentary following the everyday lives and experiences of four sex workers. It aims to normalise sex work as akin to any other job, with highs and lows, amusing stories and shared experiences. The red umbrella is a universal symbol of sex workers rights, and is used as a motif throughout the documentary, including within animated segments.

Working on this documentary was an eye-opening experience, and through my work I wanted to help de-stigmatise sex work as a profession. The edit for this was crucial, as we also wanted to showcase both the positive and the negative sides of the job in a sensitive way. This project helped me to refine my skills within documentary editing.
